TANGO’s Device Continuous Behavioural Authentication (DCBA), presented by Stergios Lantzos from the University of Thessaly, is another ground-breaking TANGO’s key exploitable result. This component continuously verifies devices based on their behavioural patterns and location data.

DCBA runs in the background, monitoring system logs on smartwatches for indicators like network changes, Bluetooth connections, or battery usage. It also scans RSSI from Wi-Fi and Bluetooth to estimate device location. If the system detects a deviation from expected behaviour or an unauthorised location, it can trigger reauthentication, generate alerts, or lock the device.

Built with smartwatches in mind and integrated with the TANGO SSI Wallet for secure login, DCBA combines frictionless operation with robust protection. Machine learning models adapt to each device’s normal behaviour, making impersonation extremely difficult.

Watch our new TANGO KERs series video to learn how the component can suit different scenarios.
